As the island of Saint Martin is half French and half Dutch, immigration procedures are different on each side of the island. Paperwork must be done upon arrival and departure.

On the French side
Frontier Police (PAF)
At the maritime terminal on the waterfront in Marigot
Open daily from 9:30-11:30am and 2:00-4:00pm
Present passports and original copies of boat documents


On the Dutch side

Immigration department
Simpson Bay
Police station, near the bridge
Monday-Friday: 8am-noon and 1:00pm-4:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am-noon
Paperwork can be done in advance of departure.
Philipsburg
At the entry to the commercial port
Monday-Friday: 8:00am-noon and 1:00pm-7:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 7:30am-3:30pm
Paperwork can be done in advance of departure.
