Métimer, the association trades of the sea, gathering at Saint-Martin
almost all professionals in Boating: from the site surf shop, passing through
the mechanical workshop and sail.
Very active, the association is on all fronts to support the interests of
its members. One of its aims, through the Turquoise guide distributed in Saint-Martin
and, inter alia, boat shows in La Rochelle, Paris and Fort Lauderdale, is
to develop Boating on the island.
Meanwhile, the passage in 2007 of Saint-Martin Community overseas has given
the island an opportunity to modify or create laws, and manage its taxation.
Métimer accompanies this development and defends with elected officials
and state all records that are relevant to its members.
Training is another important issue for Métimer, which puts in place
a certificate of professional qualification, in collaboration with the Federation
of Industries watercraft and Greta de Saint-Martin.
